It’s the adrenaline-pumping race that has the marvelous ability to make us pause and keep our eyes glued to the screen for nearly three and a half minutes, and this year’s Melbourne Cup promises to be no different.
So, frock up, match your millinery, grab your favourite people, and check out the glamorous selection of Melbourne Cup events planned across Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast for Tuesday 1st November.
The Waterline Restaurant, Keppel Bay Marina
Everyone's Favourite Melbourne Cup Celebration is back for 2022! Head down to The Waterline Restaurant at Keppel Bay Marina to watch the races live on the big screens, enjoy a la carte dining on the lawn, and join in the best sweeps in town (a bonus Waterline Restaurant voucher for every sweep winner).
This year The Waterline’s Melbourne Cup function will be fundraising for the Breast and Prostate Cancer Association of Qld. One ticket from every sweep sold will be in the name of BCAQ. The Fashions of the Field Parade will include a prize for the Best Pink Outfit and the ladies from Zest Boutique Yeppoon will be showcasing their amazing spring carnival collection.
Danny Miller Kapricorn will provide entertainment from 11.30am – 3.30pm.

Rocky Sports Club
Home to the 2nd annual Hobby Horse Derby, you won’t want to miss Rocky Sports Club’s Melbourne Cup Luncheon.
Tickets ($55) include a 2-course sit down luncheon, a complimentary beer tower or 2 bottles of wine/champagne for tables of 10, a complimentary glass of beer/wine/champagne on arrival, live music with ‘Raining Roses’, sweeps, lucky door prizes and best dressed, TAB and Sports Bar.

The Melbourne Cup ExCRABaganza is back again this year at Beaches Restaurant! The day includes a 3-course seafood luncheon featuring lobster, bubbles on arrival, the prestigious Clawfield Cup Calcutta Crab Race, Sweepstakes, prizes for fashions on the field, more fun throughout the day.

Rockhampton Jockey Club
Get trackside and join Rockhampton Jockey Club for the race that stops the nation!
The Phantom Race Luncheon at Callaghan Park in Rockhampton jumps at midday, and tickets include 5 drink vouchers, grazing platters, main meal and dessert, lucky door prizes, best dressed and a private bookmaker.

Vue Wine Bar and Restaurant
Grab your friends and dress up for a lovely Melbourne Cup Luncheon on Tuesday 1st November at Vue Wine Bar and Restaurant. Tickets include a 2-course alternate drop (entrée and main) with a glass on bubbles on arrival. Extra beverages can be purchased at the bar.

Celebrate the Melbourne Cup in style at Frenchville Sports Club’s VIP Cocktail Lounge. Kicking off at 11.30am, the Club’s Archer View room will transform into an elegant, ultra-stylish experience.
Tickets are $150 and include access to a private bar, private TAB, private beer garden, grazing board and canapes throughout the day, 4-hour beverage package including selection of beer, wine, seltzers and cocktails, best dressed and lucky door prizes.
