Taste Capricorn Coast is a joint project by Livingstone Shire Council and Capricorn Enterprise with the support of the Australian Government’s Bushfire Recovery initiative supporting the region in response to the devastating 2019 summer bushfires.
Taste Capricorn Coast showcases our destination’s authentic cultural food experience and highlights the large portion of fresh local produce which is born from our local farms, oceans, and paddocks.

Tour, explore and enjoy the tastes of the Capricorn Coast and stay longer to appreciate the variety of produce grown here, fresh from the farm gate or served in one our renowned local restaurants.
Farm Fresh
With amazing fresh local produce grown and served within the Capricorn Coast, the site will allow locals and visitors to undertake farm tours, visit farm gate stalls, sample the produce and be educated in the nutritional, economic and taste benefits of consuming fresh local produce.
Get Involved
We invite restaurants or cafes who simply have one menu dish containing 50% or more of local ingredients, or a retailer who has four or more local suppliers, to get in touch with our team and apply to be part of the project - visit getinvolved.livingstone.qld.gov.au
